Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

25th National Vocational Education and Training Research Conference ‘No Frills’

No Frills is taking place this year on 4-6 July at CQUniversity, Rockhampton North campus. The engaging program features over 40 presentation and poster sessions, highlighting three research themes: Equity, Engagement and Evolution.Michael Hartman, CEO of Skills Impact, Michael Hartman will be presenting at the conference on Building Innovation Skills.

No Frills is a well-known annual national conference where researchers and practitioners in the vocational education and training (VET) sector come together to present, discuss and share information about key issues confronting the sector. It also provides professional development opportunities for new and existing researchers.
