Every two months the AISC meet to discuss issues affecting the vocational education and training (VET) sector and approve training packages for implementation. At their 23rd meeting on Tuesday 4 December the committee approved the Case for Endorsement for Forest and Wood Products, and Animal Care and Management – Cert IV in veterinary nursing (the diploma has been referred to the IRC). These Cases for Endorsement related to qualifications, skill sets and units developed out of the Prefabricated Building Systems, Cross Laminated Timber and Veterinary Nursing projects. They also noted Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s announcement of a review into Australia’s vocational education and training system.
