It’s been another fascinating year working with you all to understand the innovations and changing ways of work in your industries. Skills Impact is fortunate to have a role that supports us to collaborate with industry, the government and training providers in this unique space.
Through our combined efforts, in 2018-19 we have:
- Managed 32 projects to improve national skills standards & qualifications
- Developed eight Skills Forecasts to identify future skills needs and solutions
- Supported 12 Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) to engage with over 1800 stakeholders, tracking industry trends, skills opportunities, and challenges
- Developed and maintained skills standards for more than 120 industry sectors.
Under the direction of IRCs and the guidance provided by industry feedback, together we’ve worked to capture the skills needed to keep up with the latest changes in the environment, legislation, technology, products, and consumer trends.
We would like to thank all IRC members, industry stakeholders, and RTO staff who have volunteered their time and expertise over the past year. None of these projects could have progressed without your valuable input.
Thank you also to our staff, Directors, ForestWorks, National Farmers Federation, MINTRAC and Rural Skills Australia for their contributions.
From all of us at Skills Impact, we would like to wish you and your family a wonderful festive season and a happy new year.
Please note: Skills Impact offices will be closed for the festive break, from Monday 23 December, reopening on Monday 6 January.
