New technology is changing the way jobs are performed in the aquaculture and wild catch industry. Aquabotics, such as remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), underwater drones and biosensors, can now be used to perform many tasks that were previously performed manually.
Final draft skills standards for operating and understanding this new technology will be available for comment and validation soon. They are being revised to consider all feedback that has been received so far.
