New Projects Underway

Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

Work has begun on a range of new projects to update and improve industry qualifications and skills standards.

Project planning is underway and Skills Impact and the Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) have been reaching out to industry experts for their input into the projects.

The projects were proposed in this year’s Annual Updates to the IRC Skills Forecasts and approved by the Australian Industry and Skills Council.

How to get involved

If you have experience in any of these areas and are interested in participating in the development of draft skills standards throughout the project, you have the opportunity to volunteer as a subject matter expert (SME). Please contact us if you are interested.
