Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

Opportunity to Check Final Draft Landscaping Skills Standards Meet Industry Needs

Landscapers are able to enrich people’s lives with the well designed and constructed green spaces they create and maintain. They require skills in horticulture and plant care, as well as the ability to work with a range of materials and alongside other professionals with complimentary expertise.

The final draft qualifications and skills standards for this sector are now available for validation and comment. These final drafts have been revised to consider the feedback received between December 2020 and May 2021.

They have been updated to reflect current industry trends, support safe work practices, and promote clear career pathways.
