The qualifications, skill sets and units of competency that were reviewed and developed as part of the Retail Baking Review Project and Rice Processing Project are now published on training.gov.au. It follows endorsement by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) and means they are available for consideration for delivery by registered training organisations (RTOs).
The revised qualifications, skill sets and units are embedded within the FBP Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical Training Package (published on 23/01/2017).
What does this mean for training providers?
Registered training organisations (RTOs) have 12 months to transition to delivering the new and updated qualifications, skill sets and units, from the date of publish. For more information, visit the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) website.
A Companion Volume Implementation Guide has also been produced to help training providers implement the new and revised qualifications, skill sets and units. These can be downloaded from VETNet.com.
Please see the Case for Endorsement for more information about the changes made.
