Our Role Establishing Skills Insight JSC

Skills Impact held a Skills Service Organisation (SSO) role between 2016 and 2022. In 2023 we established one of ten Job and Skills Councils (JSCs), after a submission to move into the role was backed by over 200 letters of support from a broad range of industry stakeholders. This new JSC, Skills Insight, has a broader scope to deliver outcomes that support a responsive VET system and a skilled and resilient national workforce. The industry coverage of Skills Insight is similar to our past coverage as a Skills Service Organisation.

Rebecca has over 20 years of experience working in the Vocational Education and Training sector. Prior to commencing with Skills Impact, Rebecca spent 10 years in print and online learning and assessment resource development covering the Community Services, Business Services, Transport, Construction and Foundation Skills Training Packages. Prior to this, Rebecca was a Project Officer for various Victorian Industry Training Boards including the Community Services & Health ITB, Transport Training Victoria and Process Manufacturing ITB where she was responsible for developing the annual Industry Training Plans to identify industry skill gaps and advise on State government VET funding allocation.

Rebecca has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, has completed several professional development short courses in project management and currently volunteers for several local, not-for-profit community groups associated with biodiversity, environmental sustainability and community education and action.
