As many of the projects we have been working on reach the final stages, we await confirmation of the next round of projects.
The AISC considered the 2018-2021 IRC Skills Forecasts and Proposed Schedule of Workat their recent meeting on June 5. An official communique will soon follow, which will announce the skills priorities that have been funded and approved to become projects for development. The communique will be published on the AISC Media Hub.
Following the approval of projects, Skills Impact will communicate this with you all and commence the project work.
IRC Skills Forecasts and Proposed Schedule of Work are annual documents that identify skills gaps, emerging skills needs and associated training needs for industry and determine whether there is a need to change training packages (i.e. units of competency, skill sets and qualifications). The documents propose a plan for reviewing and developing the relevant units, skill sets and qualifications. They are submitted from the relevant IRC to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) every April.
