Andrew brings experience in working for both the agricultural industry and education sector to his role as Industry Facilitation Manager at Skills Impact. Originally from Tumby Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, Andrew was brought up and worked on the family farm. He participated in a early program called On Farm Trainee, run by the Spencer Institute of TAFE in 1980-81. The program involved approximately 25 young farmers from across Eyre Peninsula. Andrew has also worked in a range of education institutions and community organisations, including working in the curriculum maintenance area in agriculture across Victoria. In a number of roles he has worked with a wide range of stakeholders to strategically broker, establish and develop collaborative partnerships between education (schools and further education institutions), community, government and business to improve education and employment outcomes for young people. Andrew was a key member of the Inner Northern Youth Employment Taskforce (INYET), managing the 2016/17 Jobs for Youth campaign, developing a strategic regional approach to encourage organisation to work more effectively together. He is currently the Vice President of the Victorian Applied Learning Association (VALA) and has held a number of leadership positions in community organisations. Andrew has an Advanced Diploma of Agriculture (Rural Business Management), Graduate Certificate in Education and Training and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
