Agronomy Project

A new national Diploma of Applied Agronomy and a Digital Agronomy Skill Set has been developed in consultation with Subject Matter Experts through face-to-face meetings, email, and site visits. This new diploma will help bridge the gap between farmers and researchers, offering technical skills to carry out hands-on work in agronomy. This will benefit the agriculture and horticulture

industry as a whole, offering the skills to make farming practices more efficient and sustainable.

The current Certificate III in Rural Merchandising and the units within it have been reviewed to ensure they are up to date with current practices, markets and products. In this way the qualification will continue to support a vital piece of the industry, assisting farmers and horticulturalists to get the machinery, technology, and other products and services they need.
