The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has recently outlined key guiding principles to assist in the review of Industry Reference Committees (IRCs).
Following the principles set out by the AISC, three of the industries that Skills Impact are responsible for supporting are currently participating in the pilot review. These are:
- Forest and Wood Products
- Rural and Related Industries
- Food, Beverage and Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing.
The principles outline the processes and the outcomes sought by the review process, including the composition of the IRCs and the required knowledge and expertise of nominated members.
The AISC is dedicated to the review being open and transparent ensuring there is ample opportunity for a broad range of industry stakeholders to provide input into the eventual shape and membership of IRCs. During consultation, broad industry input will be essential.
