The Australian Industry Skills Committee (AISC) is calling for nominations for vacant positions on the Aquaculture and Wild Catch Industry Reference Committee (IRC).
It is proposed that the Aquaculture and Wild Catch IRC will have responsibility for overseeing the development of skills standards and qualifications within the SFI Seafood Training Package. The IRC will comprise of representatives with relevant expertise across the industry and sectors.
The AISC is calling for nominations for the following vacant positions:
- 6 positions are allocated to the following types of organisations:
- 1 position from any key associations across the seafood industry
- 1 position from organisations in the aquaculture sector
- 1 position from organisations in the wild catch fishing sector
- 1 position from organisations in the seafood processing and wholesaling sector
- 1 position is allocated to an industry regulator – Department of Primary Industries – Fisheries NSW
- 1 position is allocated to an employee representative
- 7 positions are allocated to individual experts in the following sectors:
- 4 positions from individuals with expertise in the aquaculture sector
- 2 positions from individuals with expertise in the wild catch fishing sector
- 1 position from individuals with expertise in the seafood processing and wholesaling sector
The AISC is seeking industry feedback up until COB Tuesday 21 February 2017.
