As we come to the end of the Industry Reference Committee and Skills Service Organisation Program, all of the projects to improve national qualifications and skills standards are reaching their final stages; this means new and revised qualifications, skill sets and units of competency are published and available for use or are very close to being available.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this work. Your expertise has been crucial to making sure the skills standards for your industry describe the hands-on skills required.
The work to improve skills standards for industry will continue in 2023 under the Government’s reinvigorated Industry Cluster model, which aims to strengthen industry leadership in the VET system. Skills Impact has been supporting industry to develop an Agribusiness Industry Cluster proposal to support industry drive improvements in the Australian skills system into the future. We await with anticipation an announcement in relation to this program.
