The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) have recently endorsed a number of training packages at meetings held in February and March 2016.
- FWP Forest and Wood Products Release 2.0 was endorsed in February
- PPM Pulp and Paper Manufacturing was endorsed in March
- AHC Agriculture Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management was endorsed in March, with the exception of some performance horse skills standards and qualifications, which will be further examined in the context of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Strategic Review of Equine Training.

Skills Impact are now working with the Department to prepare for the release of these training packages on training.gov.au. It is expected that this will occur in several weeks’ time.
ASQA have adjusted the transition period allowed for students to transition to the new training package from 12 to 18 months. The date is effective from the time of the training package release on training.gov.au. For more information visit the ASQA website.
